Multi-Cultural, Internationally Focused

Bond University

Bond University is home to international students from 80 countries worldwide, creating a dynamic, multi-cultural community. International students represent 50% of our student population and we value the differences and diversity they bring to the campus. We make every attempt to ensure they feel welcome by offering a number of services for International students, including:

  • An active Muslim Students Association, who welcome members of the local Islamic community to Bond.
  • A Muslim prayer room which can be accessed at any time.
  • A range of dietary options including halal, vegan and vegetarian.
  • An International Student Support Officer who supports and monitors the progress of sponsored students.
  • Counselling staff on-campus to help with personal and academic issues.
  • An on-campus doctor and nurse.
  • Access to local Mosques.
  • A safe and secure campus that is patrolled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by security officers and monitored by security cameras.
  • A career development centre to assist students with reaching their employment goals.
  • A Bond Mate Program to help students make friends before they even arrive on campus.
  • The English Help Centre to help international students with their assignments and improve their general English skills.

Located on the multicultural Gold Coast (east coast of Australia), Bond University students enjoy the best of both worlds: an extremely safe destination with all the modern conveniences and business opportunities of a city, plus low cost of living.

In 2008, Bond University earned the prestigious title of ‘Australia’s Highest Rated University’ by achieving the most five-star ratings in the 2008 Good Universities Guide. Success for Bond graduates is evident with the University achieving a five-star rating in key areas as ‘Graduate Starting Salary’, ‘Getting a Job’ and ‘Positive Graduate Outcomes’.

Bond offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Law; Business (including MBA); IT; Sustainable Development; Hotel, Resort and Tourism Management; Health Science and Medicine (including Physiotherapy); and Humanities and Social Science (including Film and Television, Communication and Journalism). Scholarships across most discipline areas are also available to international students.

Bond’s personalised approach to education combined with its uncompromising focus on industry relevance sets Bond University apart from every other Australian university. Students thrive in smaller study groups where prominent professors and industry experienced lecturers know them by name due to the small staff to student ratio (1:12).

Students at Bond graduate up to 12 months ahead of their peers by studying three semesters per year instead of the usual two. Thereby gaining a vital advantage in the ultra competitive careers market and saving on living expenses.
